A true 21st Century, perennial peripatetic troubadour, from Belfast, longtime resident of Melbourne, Andy White is one of Ireland's most accomplished and respected song-writers since his 1985 debut Stiff EP 'Religious Persuasion' and his 1986 first album, 'Rave On Andy White'.

He's the 'A' in 'supergroup' ALT alongside Liam O'Maonlai (Hothouse Flowers) and Tim Finn (Crowded House). He's recorded with Peter Gabriel and toured in so many different combinations, published poems and prose.

A longtime association with Womad as well as appearances at The Fleadh and Glastonbury means Andy's well used to large open air gigs, but he's equally at home in intimate spaces, where his beautiful songs, voice and musicianship shine and inspire.
